REVIEW: April/May 2010
Positive and enthusiastic reviews are rolling in for Lincoln's
performance on Harmonia Mundi's new release:
Gershwin by Grofe: Original Orchestrations & Arrangements.
Lincoln is featured on the Paul Whiteman's jazz band arrangement of
"The Rhapsody Blue" along with saxophonist, Al Gallodoro (previously a
member of the Paul Whiteman Orchestra and age 93 at the time of the
recording). The Harmonie Ensemble and soloists are led by the
creative and ever-adventurous conductor, Steven Richman.

Faust Harrison Pianos, NYC. Conductor

Ronald E. Grames, FANFARE JULY/AUGUST 2010
"While avoiding mere imitation,
Mayorga duplicates the heady sense of
discovery, and the sheer joy in technical prowess, that were part of
Gershwin's performance style.
And he certainly knows how to swing,
something others who assay this literature may talk about, but few come close
to achieving. "
